Oded Eliav

As a founding product engineer, I worked to give employees at public companies more independence.

I worked with the CTO to turn an existing POC into a product ready for a design-partner pilot. I owned the product definition, platform architecture, and hands-on development.

The startup is still in stealth, so I can’t say or show more yet.

The project felt like science fiction. I led product direction and delivery across interconnected cybersecurity products and platforms. I built a Product & Architecture function and recruited and developed product managers, customer success leaders, and engineering team leads.

I first led one of the core teams on the project that received the 2023 Israel Security Prize, then went on to lead its 40-person R&D and product group.

The role sharpened my judgment under pressure. I learned from exceptional people and got better at making hard calls and backing my intuition with action. My ambitions remain oversized.

Over three years, I led three teams that deprecated and replaced multiple products. We designed new architectures, collaborated on open-source infrastructure, and built Kubernetes deployments users could maintain themselves.

One of those products had needed support from ten developers. Its replacement is still in use, with minimal maintenance by one person.

I programmed and drove competition robots with D-Bug #3316.

In 2023, I co-founded TheWrongGen, a civic movement supporting the protests for liberal democracy in Israel. We brought together hundreds of participants, reached tens of thousands of people, and generated millions of views on social media.
